I am a junior at the Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Centered Design Engineering and Data Science. My resume is attached and my portfolio is available at https://blakleydesigns.weebly.com.  I was referred to you by my father, Jim Blakley. I am contacting you to see if you may have or know of internship opportunities at AlphaLab Gear, AlphaLab, Innovation Works or elsewhere. I’m available for the summer of 2019 when I will be a rising senior. I would also be available to work remotely while I finish my spring term.

 

I would be most interested in an internship that would allow me to use Human Centered Design and design thinking in real world product design. Given my previous experience at Design for America, Segal, and Intel and my course work, I believe I will quickly be able to contribute to a product team.
