Does anyone know how to link to the official documentation in a way that isn't version specific?

The docs team said they had created a link to each page that would be non-version specific to help with Google rankings and the like, but I can't seem to be able to use it directly.

If no one knows, I'll ask docs after the holiday and relay my findings to the group.

Cheers,

Did you ever figure this out, Richard?

I am sorry that I forgot to follow-up. Thank you for the reminder.

This is the response I got:

"At the moment, docs.alfresco.com by default redirects to the
http://docs.alfresco.com/3.4/index.jsp URL, and the way you see the
4.0 documentation is to replace the 3.4 with 4.0 in the URL, i.e.
http://docs.alfresco.com/3.4/index.jsp.

"The Cloud docs URL is http://docs.alfresco.com/cloud/index.jsp.

"Now that we have several URLs for the Alfresco versions, we are
planning to set up a "landing page" for docs.alfresco.com so that you
can more easily access the different versions."

I don't think we have a good solution yet. The Cloud documentation is
not version dependent, but all the topics that are not yet supported
on the Alfresco Cloud are removed. I don't think it is possible right
now to create a link that will always point at the latest version.
