Talking today with Matteo Grolla, one of my colleagues, about an Alfresco customization, we will work on an improvement for the cache section of the WebScript page.
There are no examples and there is no specific documentation about this and we can initially start talking about Squid.

The idea is to create a new wiki page "WebScripts caching" dedicated to show how to manage caching with WebScripts using Squid.

We would like to use a step-by-step guide showing how to create the caching architecture between Squid and Alfresco and showing how to configure and implement the caching policies with WebScripts.

Feel free to leave your comment about this :)
Hope this helps.

Cheers,
PJ

What a great use for the wiki! I hope we get more step-by-step guides like that.

Thank you as always for your contributions.

Hi guys,

my colleague Matteo has published a detailed post about caching on his new blog:

Any feedback is welcome :)

We are trying to understand how to link/add/summarize these useful steps in the official wiki.
Probably we can start just linking the post, but we could summarize in the wiki in a different way.

I will let you know any improvement on this.

Hope this helps.

Matteo has modified the WebScript Examples page, adding a new section "A_Complete_Webscripts_Caching_Example" with a link to his blog for details:

Hope this helps :)
