Hi,

I have build alfresco 5.1 source and obtained the war files
I am looking to deploy this files on a tomcat server, i have done the below

* copies all war files ( ROOT.war , alfresco.war , apache-solr-1.4.1.war , solr.war , solr4.war) to $catalinahome/webapps
* copies the postgresql jdbc driver to $catalinahome/lib

I am still unable to view the alfresco page when i try to access the server as below

localhost:8080

Need some help/suggestions on this

Regards

Why did you build from source? Maybe you could save time using an installer, or grab the WARs from the zip distribution.

In any case, did you configure Tomcat with a shared class loader in /shared/classes?

Did you place the alfresco-global.properties and other files in the /shared/classes directory?

There should be good documentation on a manual install at https://docs.alfresco.com.

If you need a more robust script for installation refer this project : Alfresco Ubuntu Installer from Peter Löfgren, Loftux AB.
