Hi all,
The competition described below could be a great opportunity for Alfred State students. Please share with your classes as appropriate.
As a reminder, I maintain a list of sustainability projects on which I could use assistance at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlTwW6db41bQdGhNOVkzSm5PWVFEYm9EYTI0LXROeGc&usp=sharing. It’s not exhaustive by any means, but it should at least give a sense of the variety of issues that students could tackle for this competition.
Let me know if I can help,
Julian

Subject: NYSP2I R&D Student Competition Request for Applications Now Open!
The New York State Pollution Prevention Institute 3rd Annual Student Competition is now open. This year the topic is “Greenovate NYS” – we are looking for innovative project ideas to address an environmental opportunity either on campus or in the community. Once again this year, teams of full-time undergraduate and/or graduate students enrolled at an institute of higher education located in New York State are eligible to apply. The competition is open to students from schools throughout New York State. Additional information can be found at: http://www.rit.edu/affiliate/nysp2i/rd-student-competition.
A flyer is attached, which can be emailed, or printed and posted on campuses. We would greatly appreciate it if you would share this information with your contacts again this year.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Kathleen Kosciolek
