Hello Green Team,

 

Here’s an excellent opportunity for professional development in sustainability education. I’d love to have a few Alfred State faculty in attendance. It’s a great value (registration is only $25 and lodging is only $50 a night!) but if funding is a problem, I should be able to cover the costs from my budget. Please just let me know. The registration deadline is May 23, 2014.

I am delighted to announce that the University Faculty Senate will be sponsoring a workshop on Sustainability in the Curriculum, to be held June 2-3 at SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. Our purpose is to invite faculty currently interested in teaching about sustainability to come together and develop/enhance ideas in collaboration with others across the SUNY System. The link below provides details and registration information. While we need to charge a nominal registration fee, which covers all meals for 1 1/2 days, our organizing committee was able to obtain inexpensive housing for participants at ESF's Centennial Hall. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help distribute this information to the faculty at your institution. I will be reaching out separately to many individual faculty, but your help in reaching broadly would be most appreciated.
