(Brian, FYI. These live transfer leads are something we will need to consider with the move to the new AfterHours company. Cc’ing Paul from MPM here. He’s been working with Hope, re: a solution. I’m of the mindset it may make sense to give MPM our late shift crew direct dials or even a direct cell phone # for overnight leads. Whatever we decide that can all be customized via our MPM portal; happy to grant access to that to whoever needs it, ie chase etc. )

Hi Heath and Brian,

Just heard from my team about a call we connected last night with the answering service...I truly hate to keep bringing this up but unfortunately, it was a bad reflection of your firm (butchered the firm name, seemed very distracted/not focused, unprofessional communication, etc.).

As you know, when we attempt to do a live handoff the injured victim is literally on the line and hears everything.  Sounds like it's making for quite an uncomfortable handoff at times. 

Please let me know how I/we can help transition to a workaround until your new answering service is in place.  If it helps, many firms have a few on-call attorneys for after-hours...others have a few paralegals or intake reps that are available for after-hours calls.

Happy to chat tomorrow late morning, if you like.  At the moment, I'm free from 10 AM - noon EST.

Heath, giving MPM a direct line for the late shift will be the easiest solution. I just side barred with Paul to give MPM the new forwarding number, so live voice is fully cut out once that change is made.

Not sure if you are charged per minute but sounds like that particular one was on the call for close to 40 minutes (according to our service provider).  Our portion of the call is typically only a few minutes, so I'm guessing the after-hours service was likely around 30-35 minutes of that time.

Looking forward to getting this worked out.

I've suggested a direct cell phone number, but that was before we had designated employees working late(r) shifts. Maybe now we can simply provide a direct dial line. 

I think the key here will be to pinpoint who is working & when... and who is going to be taking these calls long-term; and then decide what number they can be reached at. 

Defer to Roy/Chase on execution, but I agree... that's the best way to do it. 

(Paul, meet Chase. He's taking over immediate supervision of our Intakes & Leads. Can you get him access to our portal sometime tomorrow? And give him maybe a crash course in who MPM is?)
