Hi,

Looking at alf.io for the moment.
With COVID-19 we get more and more requests to be able to book for a certain time slot.
For the moment the only option seems to be to create an event per time slot.

Is there a way to create an overview page with all active events and their availability (tickets available or not)?
Or would it be an option to add time slot functionality to alf.io?
I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in this...

Cheers

Pedro

Hi Pedro,

native support for (time) slots will come as part of https://github.com/alfio-event/alf.io/issues/276
We have a draft model brewing for some time, and we hope to start the development sometime soon. Any help will be highly appreciated.
The new model will be flexible enough to support the definition of "max capacity per time slot", so that you can also define a maximum number of tickets for a given time slot (e.g. 10/100/1000 tickets per hour).

What you can do right now is emulate this check by defining different categories, see https://alf.io/docs/event-setup/create-in-person-event/#ticket-validity . This is how we currently support multi-day events.
You can also define a custom check-in period for the ticket, if needed.

Would that cover your use case?

Hi Celestino,

Great to hear that this is in the pipeline.
This would indeed cover our case.

Pedro
