In October 2023, the Supreme Court delivered its verdict in Supriyo vs. Union of India. While the judgement acknowledged the historical and systemic marginalization faced by queer persons, it ultimately denied them the right to marriage equality.
Join us this Saturday as we release a booklet that unpacks the complexities of the judgment, exploring its broader implications on marriage, civil unions and adoption rights. In addition, we will look at the hope found in the minority opinion, which reminds us that the fight for equality continues. Entry is free.
Date: 26th October 2024 (Saturday)
