Join us for a discussion tomorrow to understand a little more about refugee laws in India.
Douglas McDonald-Norman is a visiting scholar at the National Law School of India University and a PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales. He will be talking about how Article 21 has been interpreted to guarantee protections against deportation to danger. Read his most recent article here.
Sahana Basavapatna is a Bangalore-based lawyer and refugee rights activist who has worked on asylum and migration issues, including refugee law. She will share with us about her experience of practical issues of refugee laws in India: such as rights to housing, recognition etc.
