Dear All, 

We are pleased to invite you to the release of the report 'Stitching Lives, Organising Workers' which looks at the history of organising garment workers in Bangalore. 
The release will be followed by a panel discussion on 'Garment Organising and Documenting its History' . 

When - Saturday, 11 October, 4pm - 6pm
Where - Indian Heritage Academy, 20th Main, 6th Block, Koramangala

About the panel 
The Garment Industry employs 5 lakh workers in Bengaluru, almost all women. Sexual Harassment,  wages which do not rise are some of the challenges they face. The new tariffs only worsen these problems.  Organising workers helps them fight these challenges attain dignity. Do come listen to the history of organising garment workers in Bangalore and the resultant challenges.
