... Unlike running shoes, football boots tend to be narrower and have smaller areas where pressure is exerted, increasing the force placed on the feet. In addition, research by Dr. Katrine Kryger of St. Mary's University has identified that women's feet differ in a number of ways to men's feet - the first metatarsal is longer and at a different angle, the fifth metatarsal is closer to the others, they have a wider forefoot, a higher arch and have a greater ankle circumference.   ....
