YouTube: Unlock Better Posture And Breath
---------
Hello List,
Very interesting proposition put forward by the Author. In order to have good posture we need to hold the palms facing forward. Most people do not hold the palms this way, hence compromising their postural balance and their breathing.
Experimenting with my postural balance I have become conscious that components of the leg can move in one direction and then in the opposite direction, for instance at the ankles, the knee joints (if the knee joints are not locked) and the hip joints, creating a very dynamic system. Combined with the flexibility of the shoulder joints and the seven cervical joints, the orientation of the palms may change based on the dynamic situation.
Regards,
Selvaraj

In good posture, when standing relaxed with your arms by your sides, your palms should face slightly forward or be parallel to your thighs, with your thumbs pointing towards your body,
according to a Reddit thread. This position encourages proper shoulder alignment and helps prevent rounded shoulders, which can cause neck and shoulder pain.
