Action Alert: Improve Safety for People Walking Across Russell Rd

Hi everyone, 

On Monday July 27, the Traffic & Parking Board will consider improvements for people walking across Russell Rd. BPAC supports Concept 2 which would add pedestrian refuge islands but we have heard that staff are recommending Concept 1 to reduce parking impacts. Apparently, the Naomi Brooks principal and some neighbors opposed parking removal.

Hi everyone, 

Last night, the Traffic & Parking Board voted 5:2 to implement Concept 2. Eleven people testified in favor of Concept 2 while just two supported Concept 1 and one speaker was unclear in their preferences. Thank you to all who came out and wrote in!
