To: Holmes Run Trail Repairs Stakeholder Group (BCC)

Please be advised that the City has scheduled the resurfacing of the Charles E. Beatley, Jr. Bridge to begin the week of May 16 and continue through the week of May 23. The planned work and duration are weather dependent.

The work will require the full closure of the bridge until completion. Park and trail users will be detoured to Duke Street and to the Ripley Street bike and pedestrian bridge to cross the Holmes Run Stream.

Trail users are encouraged to only use the established detour routes when using the Holmes Run Trail from Eisenhower Avenue west to Holmes Run Parkway. Please forward this email to other interested stakeholders, and you may refer individuals to Jack.B...@alexandriava.gov to be added to the Holmes Run Trail Stakeholder email group.
