Ride to sites associated with Alexandria's extraordinary Black history

Learn about Benjamin Banneker, considered the "first Black man of science." Stop by the Freedom House Museum, where one of the country's largest slave-trading companies used to be. Learn about Virginia Theological Seminary's pioneering reparations initiative, designed to recognize Black people who labored on campus during slavery, Reconstruction, and segregation under Jim Crow laws.
