In 2004, Dynamite Entertainment acquired the license to publish titles based on Army of Darkness and, in conjunction with Devil's Due Publishing, released the Army of Darkness: Ashes 2 Ashes mini-series. A second mini-series, Army of Darkness: Shop till You Drop Dead followed in 2005. Later that year, Dynamite separated itself from Devil's Due and began focusing entirely on self-published titles featuring the Army of Darkness franchise. This included an ongoing series that began in 2005 and saw Ash battling other horror icon such as Herbert West and Dracula. The series lasted thirteen issues before being rebooted with a second volume in 2007. The second series lasted twenty-seven issues before coming to an end. Over the years, there have also been several one-shot specials as well as crossovers with a wide variety of characters such as, Marvel Zombies, Darkman, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Xena, Danger Girl and even Barack Obama. The series was then rebooted in 2013 and started over from the last scene in titular film because Ash misspoke the words S-Mart was sent back in time to the Medieval times where the wiseman has been possessed, Ash fights through many battles with the same characters from the film. At the end of this series Ash proposes to Sheila, in the next series "Ash gets hitched" they get married but Ash gets sent forward in time when he accidentally speaks a phrase that opens up a vortex. He wants to get back to Sheila but runs into many situations causing delays, he is currently in space fighting the evil.
The production team of George Reinblatt, Christopher Bond and Frank Cipolla created an Off Broadway show titled Evil Dead: The Musical, based on the film series. Its New York run was directed by Bond and Hinton Battle, who also choreographed the show. Ryan Ward played the part of Ash. Tying in with the midnight movie plot of a group of friends visiting a wooded cabin and unleashing untold evil, performances did not start until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Previews began October 1 and the show opened November 1 at the New World Stages. It was announced on January 31, 2007, that Evil Dead: The Musical's New York production at New World Stages would close on February 17, 2007. Toronto producers announced a new production of the show, also starring Ryan Ward, at the Diesel Playhouse. The new production started its running May 1, 2007, and has been announced to end on September 8, 2007, which won the Dora Audience Choice Award and praised by the Toronto Star.[70]

You ever wonder why Lovecraftian entities lend themselves so well to legitimately good sequels and other horror IPs don't? The first Alien is terrifying on a first watch, Aliens is great because it changes the formula up, but every sequel after that lacks the magic of the first? Part of the answer is mystery. And I'm not talking about JJ Abrams style mystery-box storytelling bullshit, I'm talking about actual mystery where the consequence of unraveling it and revealing even a portion of the truth is to sacrifice your own humanity. Evil Dead 2 had this in spades. As cheesy and comedic as the film is, that comedic element enhances some of those more bat-shit insane horror elements. During that classic sequence when the appliances and furniture come alive and start laughing at Ash really makes you feel like you're going crazy with Ash. The ending sequence, the portal through time, and the giant evil head could be interpreted as Ash having witnessed part of the truth hidden behind the facade of the madness that has transpired up until that point.
At the end of the film, the deadites merge into one flesh abomination. This has been seen before, but obviously the effects here are much better this time around. I honestly think the filmmakers, Sam Raimi, and Bruce Campbell could have chosen Nyarlathotep as the final reveal at the end instead of the climax we got. Instead of re-using the chainsaw, "Come get some," and the boom-stick, we could have gotten this instead:
Inside the cabin, fragments of dead creatures hang from the ceiling in an ode to Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). A sound effect of clocks chiming is the same stock sound heard in George Pal's horror-tinged adaptation of HG Wells's The Time Machine (1960), and the stop-motion animation of the demons' messy demise certainly feels like a nod to the famous stop-motion death of a Morlock in Pal's film by special effects artist Wah Chang. In the basement, a torn poster for Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes (1977) can be seen, itself a nod to Craven's use of a poster for Steven Spielberg's Jaws (1975) in his own film. Raimi and Craven would continue referencing each other's work, with The Evil Dead seen playing on a television in Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).
Released in 1993, this is the last film in the trilogy, taking Ash back in time to England in 1300 AD. The movie has horror attributes, but is based mainly on humor and action. This time the evil creatures are referred to as deadites.

As the events begin to unfold, Renee conducts a presumably normal welfare check on a young Ojibwa boy in foster care. After she learns the boy has suffered abuse, Renee finds herself amid an investigation into the foster care system and the deep trauma it has inflicted on the Ojibwa people. As Renee uncovers horrible truths, she must work through her own childhood issues to help shine a light on the dark web she has stumbled into.
