Hi all,

Figured this may be of interest as a neat usage of Alembic. We have
implemented in Exocortex Crate is the traditional Point Cache workflow
but with Alembic files -- point caches are vertex deformation only
files which you attach to existing scene geometry. Our point cache
workflow can operate with both Alembic-based meshes or it can attach
to any arbitrary mesh that is already in the scene. It works quite
well and is fully compatible across both Softimage, 3DS Max and Maya:

be a bit loud.)
