I am proud to announce that Exocortex Crate for 3DS Max is now out of
beta. Exocortex Crate for 3DS Max offers production grade
full-featured Alembic support for 3DS Max at an affordable price.
The official press release will be out soon but I figured I'd give you
guys a heads up.
Exocortex Crate for 3DS Max offers full import/export support for:
- Meshes (dynamic topology and point caches)
- Curves (dynamic topology and point caches)
- Transform hierarchies.
- simple particles (pclouds, etc)
- PFlow (including instancing, even animated instancing)
In addition:
- We provide time wrapping abilities.
- Multiple UVW support
- Material meta-data
- Point cache alpha blending
- We are compatible with V-Ray and Mental Ray's motion blur even with
dynamic topology. (build 1.0.82 and newer)
- Animated material IDs are supported.
- Multiple simultaneous job exports for high performance production
use. (build 1.0.82 and newer)
- Support for 3DS Max 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 (build 1.0.83 and newer)
Exocortex Crate for 3DS Max has already been used in production on the
Amazing Spider-Man via Blur Studio. Other major VFX and game studios,
whose names will be forthcoming, have also adopted Exocortex Crate
into their production work flows.
Exocortex Crate for 3DS Max has been professionally supported with
more than 1 release per week since we started in alpha in February
2012. We have also implemented over 50 user-requested features since
we began the beta.
