Hi folks,

I'm getting some feedback from some of our users that they want to be able to strip only the first namespace in some cases during export out of Maya instead of all of them.

I'm planning on tweaking the -stripNamespaces flag to take an optional int.

If the int is provided it will remove up to that many namespaces from the name.

If the int is not provided, it will do what it does now: all namespaces will be removed.

Does anyone find this controversial?

Works for me. Would the default be unchanged? That is, if I just pass in –stripNamespaces and no int could I get them all stripped away?

That's the goal, yeah - so it would be backwards compatible in that respect.

Ha, exactly as Lucas said below. Reading comprehension, go!

Anyway, sounds good. We will continue to strip everything, but it sounds useful.
