Talking about my cooking influences allowed this gem of a cartoon from Japan to resurface in my memory. Cooking Master Boy (Chuuka Ichiban in Japan, meaning "China's Best") is the story of Liu Mao-Hsing, an apprentice chef who takes part in one earth-shattering kitchen battle after another to become China's best chef, in the process saving the country and stuff like that.

It's a family-friendly show and I encourage all lovers of chinese cuisine, the Iron Chef series, anime, or if you have kids who love to cook, to watch it: this is the show for them. I got to learn about so many Chinese dishes watching this show, and even learned a few things about cooking fried rice, making dumplings (steamed and fried), making tofu (Mabo Tofu is dealt with in a 3- or 4- episode story arc. Better believe it), cooking vegetables, plating and presentation, and using knives. Of course most of it is fantasy and silly fun, but fun nonetheless.

Thanks for this. I loved the first installment and will seek out the series via Torrents. It has that anime style that I can find tiring to watch after awhile when overdone but it's a bit more user friendly then most and the food subject makes it irresistible.

I realize that some of the things that wowed me when I first saw the series (during the "noodles but not noodles" challenge, Mao places some puree in a perforated bag and extrudes noodles), I saw later on in Iron Chef Japan. Some of the dishes are really inspired and could work in real life.

There are THOUSANDS of articles and videos online that attempt to teach people how to cook with smoke. But you could spend countless hours sorting through it all, and still come out more confused than when you started.

So I decided that the best way to learn was to jump in my car and head down south to barbecue country. I would hit the barbecue competitions every weekend so I could learn first hand from some of the best pitmasters in the country.

Before becoming a Pitmaster, Rick had led many lives as a chef, journalist, photojournalist, and an author. Rick told me tons of interesting stories about how he almost became the White House Photographer, how he broke multiple world records in aviation for the fastest times flying around the world, and his two year journey profiling 100 of the oldest historic eateries in the United States.

Everyone had their own story, but there was one common thread in every single response. I knew I was on to something when Rick told me he followed the exact same strategy to pick up barbecue later in life at the age of 52.

By using a Barbecue Journal, these Pitmasters were able to short cut their way to Meat Smoking Mastery and accelerate the learning process that otherwise would have taken years of experience to achieve.

Now that I had cracked the code, I wanted to create an easier way for people like you and I to become Master Smokers and greatly improve the quality of our meals in a fraction of the time and money it took for just me to become the Master Smoker I am today.

Didn't have time to do the Baby backs on the smoker, so I pulled out the charcoal grill. Added apple wood smoke flavor with my Cave Tools smoker box. The rub carmelized beautifully, so no need for sauce. Family loved them.

Each module includes professionally filmed training videos and supporting pdf downloads. All of the recipes you learn in this course can also be directly imported into the accompanying bbq journal app on your phone.

And just in case you get stuck, you can always ask any questions under each lecture, which will be promptly answered by one of my team members. There are already tons of comments in the private Grill Master University family!

Rest easy friend, If you are unhappy for ANY reason whatsoever. (And I do mean ANYTHING) just let me know at [email protected], and I will give you a 100% full refund just for asking anytime during your first 30 days.

In the Grill Master Family we believe that when you are more confident at cooking

you cook more often and when you cook more often you end up spending more

quality time with the people you love
