As may you know on February 1st the Oakland City ID/Debit Card program will start.
(it will be the first double card in the country)

Alianza Latinoamericana por los Derechos de los Inmigrantes ALIADI, has been working since 2007 pushing for the implementation of this program that will help immigrants homeless and other under served communities, not only to feel safer and to access city services, but also to use a debit card with the lowest fees in the financial market, to make remitences, direct deposits, and other uses.
ALIADI started this project in San Francisco and currently is working not only in Oakland, but also in Richmond, Santa Clara County, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle.
We are inviting musicians, artists & poets, to be part of a celebration that will take place on February 1st at the Humanist Hall in Oakland, from 6: 00 PM until 11:00 PM.
This event is a celebration/fundraising and we would like everyone to contribute in our struggle for immigrant & human rights.
