[OaklandCityIDCard] Action is needed NOW

Friends and Oakland Activists,

Please help now! Call your Oakland City Council Member. If you do not
know who yours is, call Council Member Jean Quan. Tell that Council
office that you support the City ID/currency card and you want the
Council to move on it right away. Thank Member Quan's office for
carrying the legislation (and Members De La Fuentes and Kaplan) but
tell them that it is urgent to move forward as soon as possible! The
Council prefers to talk to people who live in Oakland but anyone can
call.

I have attached a (2 page) flyer from which you can get talking
points. Please spread this flyer to all your friends that you think
will also call the Council. When you really feel energetic this week,
make back to front copies of the flyer and take some with you to where
ever you are going!...work, church, school, meetings, stores, the
barber shop, the laundry mat, etc. and leave a few there or post two
sheets so that folks can see the front and the back. This is winnable!
Every now an then we need to work on something that is winnable; this
is it.
