"The Hit" continued to cultivate his knowledge of the auto glass
industry in the popular forum Glasslinks. He followed the forum on a
daily basis to develop contacts in the auto glass industry. It was
apparent that the IGA could be the ticket to accessing about 1400
independent auto glass shops across the United States. The
independents saw insurance company steering and 40 % discounts on NAGS
pricing to be serious problems. In Burnaby "The Hit" worked his way
into Speedy Auto Glass by talking with Brian in their warehouse.
Brian referred him to Doug who was in charge of their IT department.
Doug did arrange a demo of the site with the management of Speedy to
review the project. They did find the project interesting, however
they did not make any commitments at this time. They did express
concerns about NAGS, and their need for NAGS in the warehouse.
Meanwhile, Mitchell was still protecting their market share by
guarding their proprietary rights to the part numbers.

Phoenix Sky Harbor

The walk through Phoenix Sky Harbor was timely in this passage, as
with the fall and winter solstice the skin gave away the origin of the
person. "The Hit" continued through Terminal 3 , one of the largest
and busiest airports in the state of Arizona. Terminal 4 was the
largest terminal handling 75% of the ninth busiest airport in the
United States. "The Hit" had been hazed and hunted for so long at
this point that he sensed he was being followed. While riding the
flat escalators through terminal three he over heard a few words. He
was being followed. He looked around to realize that there was skin
that was not of Arizona origin. "The Hit" is not a racist, but it's
the colour of the underlying tan in most complexions which can be
geared to the sun. Sure, many people might avoid the sun, but it
actually works remarkably well with the clothing. He was not good
enough to determine whether they came into the airport with him on his
Canadian Airlines flight. He would test them.

St. Brieux Credit Union: Estate

"The Hit" was not surprised by the news. He had received the letter
Leo had mailed in New Westminster in the spring. He was just numb
from the news, again. No tears. No emotion. Just numb. Perhaps
relieved. Leo had asked Calvin to help find "The Hit" when he met
Calvin at Uncle Roberts funeral in St. Brieux. Uncle Robert had
passed away after a short period of Parkinson disease, and Calvin came
to town for the funeral. This explained why Calvin made the approach,
and "The Hit" felt more emotion for his Uncle Robert than the news of
the town drunks death. While catching up on the news, Leo told "The
Hit" that their was a little money from the town drunks estate which
had been split between the three Children. Leo had asked Calvin to
contact "The Hit" because of the estate as well. Then, Leo asked if
"The Hit" would visit for Christmas in December?

"The Hit" lived in Leo's truck and camper at night while he tore apart
the 12 " x 48 " house trailer. The 56 Mercury classic was parked
beside the fire damaged house trailer ins the spring and summer.
Later, he moved into the house trailer after he had the interior torn
out of the mobile home. He moved into the fire damaged mobile home,
and he installed a wood burning stove for fall weather in Saskatoon,
as he started rebuilding the interior of the mobile home. He would
swam daily at the Riversdale Pool on Avenue H South in the spring and
summer because he still had no plumbing. Meanwhile, MJ was planning
to attend Kelsey in the fall. It was while "The Hit" was living in
the house trailer that "The Hit" and MJ became friends during the
Canada Cup Series. MJ continued to "refresh" his memory, while "The
Hit" could clearly remember that fall in detail.

At the beginning of December 1997, "Jimmy The Junkie", his Crew, and
the Mysterious Financier parked regularly behind the neighbours garage
to the North and they sometimes parked out front of the house on the
street with the Honda Civic. Jimmy the Junkie and his crew were
working up support. They were loud as they tried to intimidate "The
Hit" regarding the note which implicated them in home invasions. They
were loud in promoting the note which never arrived by Canada Post.
They still scuffled over the course gravel along the side of the
house, and they yelled from the alley. Meanwhile, it has been 20
months since Barb and "The Hit" met Jimmy The Junkie and Little Mike
at the Piccadilly Pub in 1996 when they were living in New
Westminster. It has been 18 months since Jimmy The Junkie was writing
in his notebook, and "The Hit" understood why Jimmy The Junkie was
laughing at Little Mike when he brought up Hepatitis C in 1996. Jimmy
the Junkie had given him Hepatitis C. Now, Jimmy The Junkie and his
Crew have been all over him since the spring of 1997 long before the
note in October 1997. The question was who was the Mysterious
Financier funding this effort?

"The Hit" spent the rest of the day working on the Onlineglass.com
software project. He used some of his inheritance to buy the project
a third P3 300 MHz computer for the project. The database was
getting much bigger with the populated arrays as both the database and
script increased in size. The new computer became the main
programming computer. One older PII 233 MHz became the TV Computer /
Backup computer. Finally, the third PII 233 MHz became an
application / database server. The distribution of workload
simplified programming and saved costly losses of programming and data
progression from hardware, software, or programming errors. The
overall functionality of the demo version was far beyond what had been
demonstrated to either Doug at Speedy Auto Glass or Bill at UDI.
Meanwhile, the auto glass industry and the courts remained stalled
regarding the legal status of the NAGS numbers with regards to the
Sherman Anti Trust Act in the United States.
