Hi, Vincent!
Welcome to the Alchemy OS discussion group.

What do you want to do exactly? Do you want to be able to run
your program from terminal? Or to create entry in the start menu
for your program? Or create a distributable package with your
program?

Appmenu items are files under /res/apps/ directory with ".desktop" extension.
Use existing files as examples. For menu entry you need to define three arguments
there: execution command, title and icon (optional). So the ".desktop" file for your
program should be something like

[Desktop Entry]
Name=My Title
Exec=myprogram
Icon=iconname.png
