My software synthesizer has failed miserably. Although usable, it is
necessary to wait for LONG amounts of time to produce high-quality
outputs. VERY LONG. Also, it has problems with the tone generators,
which sometimes make off-tone notes. So I'm abandoning it. I'm sorry.
However, work has started for a MIDI file writer/loader! The saving
routine is already implemented, and I was able to command it to make
simple MIDI files which DID play ^_^ So far, no bugs. But it still
needs some more testing. Sources and binary in package will be
released when available.
Wavetracker will be renamed to "MidiTracker" and modified to use
libmidifile to write and edit MIDI files :) I know, there's already
MIDEdit for J2ME phones, but using a tracker-based interface,
MidiTracker will be VERY more flexible, and will offer the full
capabilities of the MIDI standard :)
Hang on, guys. I promise I'm working on this!
