Yahoo/Gmail Used by Malware for Communication

Security researchers discovered a new piece of malware that managed to evade detection since 2012 by relying on web platforms such as Yahoo and Gmail to communicate with the command and control servers.
Dubbed IcoScript by Paul Rascagneres from the German security firm G Data, the malware is a remote access tool (RAT), modular in architecture. It leverages the Component Object Model (COM) technology in Windows that can be used to control Internet Explorer.

LinkedIn Pays $6 Million in Back Wages for Overtime and Damages After Violating Wage Laws

LinkedIn has to pay nearly $6 million (€4.47 million) over employee wage violations after an investigation by the US Department of Labor found the company in violation of federal wage laws.
The issues that LinkedIn is guilty of are failing to record, account, and pay for all hours employees worked each week, which is in violation of the US Fair Labor Standard Act. Basically, some of the company’s employees were working extra hours and they were not getting paid for overtime.
