Dear Co-owners,

Is there anyone in this group who also recieved a letter from the finance department in Albufeira because of a tax execution?
A few days ago I've got an email by Admitur, informing be about this letter the finance department has send to them on the 22.02.17 !! (So a lot of time has passed until they informed me!)
Living in Germany the only possible way for further information was to log myself in on the InternetWebsite of the finance department: I found a document reminding me of paying 258 euro until the end of April (first claim on the 22.02. was 231 euro). I couldn't find (or translate) what this amount is all about. Could it be that this is the IMI that was normaly payed out of the reserve fund by Admitur?! I didn't recieve any paycheck from Albufeira Jardim since 2011, so I didn't have to declare any income in Portugal since then.
I've send this document to Érica Rodrigues (Admiturs finance sector) but she couldn't give me any answer yet (besides that she doesn't know it either and that it is possible something to be payed by Admitur itself). My time until the end of deadline is running out..(Next problem is that I don't know how to pay it from Germany because there is no hint of the bank account of the finance department in Albufeira. I can only find the BIC/IBAN of finance department in Lisboa).

Sorry I am a little bit lost right now. Maybe someone here has similar problems?

I would be really thankful for any help!

Please appologize my englisch, I'm not a native speaks.

Thank you

Dear Kristin,

Admitur ceased to handle my tax matters (IMI, IRS) years ago. I subsequently had to submit my IRS declaration myself and pay IRS and IMI.

The payment can be handled from abroad. You may do a SEPA transfer to:

DIRECÇÃO - GERAL DOS IMPOSTOS
IBAN PT50 0781 0019 0000 0008 3692 7
BIC IGCPPTPL

You have to state:
  • Your Portuguese tax number (Número de Identificação Fiscal)
  • Payment reference number (15 digits without blanks, Referência de pagamento)

I recommend that you maintain your email address in your record with the Portuguese Tax Portal. The authorities sometimes send a dunning notice although payment has been executed. In that case you want to receive that by email and reply with a screenshot of the bank transfer. It is also advisable to create an account with viactt.pt to receive all tax related communications.

Dear Alexander,

Thank you so much for further information.
That's important for me to know, also for the future.
It seems to me that Admitur has payed the amount today - a little bit too late as there is still an overdue to pay but nevertheless I am glad that it is done so far.
This was the first time I was asked to pay the IMI (I am still not sure if it was because of the IMI or something else) by myself. I thought it is common to be handled by Admitur. How will things go when Admitur is not in charge anymore - will the new company care for the financal matters? Or will it be our turn then?

Best regards

Kristin
