9/11 and San Bernardino have two countries in common - Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Pakistani nationals traveling to Saudi Arabia. Neither of these two countries are on the visa waiver ban. That ought to tell you something about the politics of this legislation.

I think throwing Iran in the mix is another case of "never waste a good crisis" to make sure anyone who travels to Iran from Europe or Canada as a tourist is harassed if they want to travel to US, to make them think twice about going there. This is the anti Iranian lobby trying to kill the budding tourist industry taking off there after sanctions relief. This will directly hurt any cultural bonds developing between the west and Iran. What does Iran have to do with the terrorists? Nothing.

But forget Iran - if the bill genuinely is trying to protect the US soil, why are Saudi Arabia and Pakistan not on the list?  If they really meant what they said those traveling to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia statistically pose greater danger to US than anyone traveling to Iran does. I would like to know what the House representatives have to say about that.

Trump or no other US would be president or politician is ever going ban moslems from this country, because they are in the back pockets of the sheikhs. All the noise is about hurting Iran. We should push to have the laws applied equally, and more so to the terrorist nations, than Iran.

Thank you. Signed and shared.  Unfortunately, this bill is not an effective bill to stop the terror attack as none of the 9/11 terrorists or any other attack after 9/11 would have been stopped if this bill was the law at the time of those attacks.
