TENTATIVE PLANS 2024 Albineer Rendezvous

Here is a quick update on tentative plans for Albineers of BC Rendezvous for 2024.
On January 16, 2024 eleven of us successfully joined a Zoom – apologies to Peter for his difficulty joining and to David for not getting him in at all.
There will be another Zoom Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 7:30 PM to confirm the schedule. See below for Zoom connection information. Everyone is welcome to join and contribute. We will finalize plans for Rendezvous schedule.
Here is the TENTATIVE plan with notes on the status of each event:
May 17-20, 2024
Maple Bay (or Genoa Bay). Host: Juaning Higgins. No further information.
June 14-16, 2024
Telegraph Harbour Marina on Thetis Island. Hosts: Al and Birgit Castledine.
-confirmed; will be self-reservation.
July 12-14, 2024 (leaving on Sunday July 14 – can only book for two nights in the summer season))
Saltspring Marina, Ganges. Hosts: Melanie and Colin Horel.
- one reservable dock with 170 linear feet- B dock (six Albin 25s). There are fingers across the other side of B (no power) if we need more. Moorage is $2.20 per foot. The Dock rep suggested that if we wanted to ensure we were together we would need to book by the end of March at latest.
-the breakwater outside float is 12 ft wide at the ends, they will loan us tables to set up for a group dinner if we wish or we can make a group reservation at Moby's pub outside at the head of the ramp if we wish.
August 18-20, 2024 (Sunday – Tuesday)
Saysutshun Provincial Park, Nanaimo. Hosts: Mike & Penny Grant
-can’t reserve moorage so it is on a first come basis. The past several years there has been no problem getting space at the floats.
September 13-15, 2024
Roche Harbor. Host: Bernard Robinson
-we are pencilled in Sept 12, 13, 14 departing on Sunday
-a personal link for Bernard will be set up around Feb 14 so others can sign up online for the Rendezvous.
-the party barge will be available to us if we get 12 boats or more.
-advised to clear US Customs using CBP Roam app.
-$2.90 per foot (Wednesday no charge for early arrival)
