I am so pleased to announce the launch of an Open Pedagogy Community of Practice through the University of Alberta's Centre for Teaching and Learning. Eventually, I anticipate this will be community-led through institutional partnerships, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to be a partner.
CTL Open Pedagogy Community of Practice
Each term the Open Pedagogy Community of Practice gathers as a learning community to explore open pedagogy and teaching with OER (open educational resources). We co-create programming to navigate the landscape of open practice by sharing teaching strategies, resources, and experiences. Participation is open to any individual at any stage of their open education journey.
Next Meeting: August 24, 2021 (1 pm - 3 pm MDT)

The open education community is buzzing with work focused on advocacy, library systems, and institutional change. Open education has grown, flourished, and matured in beautiful ways since I was introduced to the concept in 2014. This community will focus on open pedagogy and instructional practices. It is open to anyone, so please share with your colleagues! Our direction will be informed by our members, who I hope will include those who teach, learn, design, coach... and more.
