Open Education Talks 2026: Registration Now Open

Dear Colleagues,


We are excited to announce the fifth annual offering of Open Education Talks, a series of 15-minute lightning talks and digital posters about open education, open pedagogy, and integrating open resources and technologies in higher education. This virtual free event aims to foster conversations and share best practices in open education.

Sessions will focus on open education initiatives, projects, and programs related to:
  • Building Blocks of Open Education: Basics of open education (OE) and OER adoption
  • Emerging Technologies and Usability in Open Education: Technology’s role in OE and connections with usability
  • Students as Partners and Leaders in Open Education: Student-led projects and collaboration in OE
  • Tensions and Possibilities for the Future of Open Education: Responsive practices navigating changing challenges and opportunities in OE.
Talks Schedule: Lightning talk sessions will be hosted on Zoom every Wednesday in March 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM MT.

A digital poster wall will be available on the Open Education Talks website throughout and following the talks. Please see the website for the full schedule to be posted soon.

Note: Daylight savings time for the MT time zone occurs on Sunday March 8, 2026. Times will shift from MST to MDT moving 1 hour forward from March 11th onward.
Registration is free and open to all interested in attending. On the registration page, you can select to attend one or more of the 4 weekly sessions.
