We host the NY State Sacred Harp Convention this weekend in Albany!

Special note to local and regional singers on our email list:
  This is the big one! This is the one not to miss, and to invite all those friends who might love to experience Sacred Harp singing to.

   Also, we are expecting a real turnout, so please consider what you might be able to contribute to our dinner on the grounds both days!

We are looking forward to welcoming many of you to Albany, N.Y., this weekend (Oct. 18-19) for the 35th New York State Sacred Harp Convention. A few notes:

* Singing from the 2025 edition, copies available for purchase or loan
* Special multi-song Saturday lesson: Jesse P. Karlsberg will speak briefly on the new songs in the 2025 edition: the process that selected them, their character, and their special connections to the Northeast US and to the NYS Convention
* After the singing on Saturday: a social at Common Roots Albany Outpost, a spacious venue with good food and drink
* Singing will begin both days at 10am at the German American Club, 32 Cherry St, Albany, NY 12205
