Dear Singing Community,

* There will be a singing school (6-7pm, but we will try to be "learning by singing" in the latter half already) and singing (7-8pm) from the Sacred Harp at the Flurry Festival in Saratoga Springs on Friday, February 14.

* To allow our community to support this singing with strong voices, I have been told that wristbands will not be checked for these two events!

* The location is Saratoga Hilton 1/2, 534 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (I don't know exactly what the "1/2" means myself, but if you come to the Hilton I'm sure you will be directed to the right place.)

* Unfortunately I was NOT in possession of good and authoritative enough information when I told singers I could procure them passes for all the Friday festival events. I can only get a couple of such passes. If your desire and/or need for such a pass moves you to do so, please be in touch with me, and I will try at least to help someone who can make use of the 2-3 passes I should be able to get.

* As always, I invite you to keep an eye on http://www.albanysacredharp.org/ and to join us for our Saturday afternoon Sacred Harp singings in Schenectady!

* Our website will also give you information about the all-day Christian Harmony singing in Northampton on this coming Saturday (Feb. 1). Singing doesn't begin till 10:30am, making it a very doable day trip for many of us.

Sing on!

Tarik

P.S. Pardon the back-and-forth. But the Flurry folks have kindly allowed a more generous deal for the Friday passes, and the following should be the list of names who receive them: Jean Seiler, Mary Skidmore, Joanne Fuller, Judy Pardee, Claudia Smigelski, Ellen Foster, George Sigut, Ed Donnelly, Harris Billeci, Sarah Underhill, Edwina Unrath, Tom Unrath, Sid Quinsaat, Alison Forster, Jeanette Gurney, James Gurney. They do feel this is a bit of an above-and-beyond, so I can't ask them to add more names.
