New data portal launching in Kenya

Hey all,

Thought this might be interesting for people who might have connections in Kenya and some of our other Sub Saharan African sites. 

On the 20th of April, Code for Africa is launching PesaYetu. 

This new tool, created in partnership with Code for Africa, KCOMNET, CAMECO and German Cooperation, is an easy-to-use data and visualisation portal for Kenyan journalists. For researchers, journalists and activists it offers free downloadable dataviz, county-specific data and datasets.

To get expert insight on how to use the tool, join our HacksHackers event which will have an introduction by Code for Africa's Tolulope O. Adeyemo, Senior Programme Manager, Jacopo Ottaviani, Chief Data Officer, followed by Tricia Govindasamy, Senior Data Product Manager, showcasing the ins and outs of the tool.
