Dear Alaveteli team,
I am a researcher based in France, working on digital platforms for social and solidarity economy (some information on our work is here: https://iness.wp.imt.fr) and my homepage (https://muge.wp.imt.fr)

At the moment, I am conducting a research on FOI platforms. I am learning many issues thanks to this community, and the open notes and discussions.

My question is, may I use some quotations from your messages, in my research? I thought that because its a public group, this won't be a problem, but always better to ask!
Provided, of course, that when we finish I will send you the paper to have a look, and give permission. The research is generally on how algorithms and codes are generated through the participation of distributed local networks.

My specialisation being on network strategies for social enterprises, I would also be more than pleased to give a hand as a researcher if needed, and participate in your conferences/meetings.

All the best

Dear Muge

I think that for Access Info if you want to use any of our messages, best to contact me and my colleagues Martina and Alejandra in copy and say which you wish to use. You can also be in touch with us directly about our experience with AsktheEU.org.

Hope all are staying safe!

Abrazos / All the best,

Helen

Dear Helen,
Many thanks for your reply. In fact it's true that it's better to contact individually in the future.

Ok, as the research progresses, and if needed I will contact you!

All the very best,
Muge

Hey Muge,

A late reply but just to note that, if you haven't already found it, there's a dedicated France Alaveteli site: https://madada.fr/ whom you might want to contact. Also, as your work is on Algorithms it might be worth getting in touch with both Lukas from the Czech site https://www.infoprovsechny.cz/ and also Beryl from https://www.muckrock.com/ (MuckRock aren't an Alaveteli but they are a similar FOI site and they are doing great work on Algorithm Transparency!)

All the best

Jen

Dear Jen,
I completely missed this message, sorry for not responding before! Yes, we did contact Madada.fr, but only recently, and we are waiting for a return. I will definitely get in touch with Lukas and Beryl. In the mean time we had applied for funding of our project from a few places in France and it seems it is very well received, so it is taking shape, with a bigger team. Many thanks again, and sorry for very (very) late reply.
