Hi all,
        As you know, I´m a student from Argentina and one of the attendees to the conference.Three weeks ago, thanks to David Cabo, I met some journalists from La Nación. This is the most important daily newspaper here. They asked me to do the media coverage of AlaveteliCon, so please, find below my first article. It´s in spanish, but I will get an english version really soon.

I will write two more articles, one each day of AlaveteliCon, and I will interview some of you there. Your experience is essential to show the importance of transparency and how you could run Alaveteli in very different places.

Let me remind you that in Argentina we still don´t have a FOI law; that´s why I am convinced that Alaveteli could help us to spread the word of FOI in society and to remind our government, we are just there, waiting, but most important thing demanding a law at national level.

Finally, those who use twitter can follow the conference frrom this 2 accounts:

@romina_colman

@LNdata

Thanks for everything!

Best,

Romina

Hi Romina,

That's great coverage :) I also noticed you got *loads* of retweets.

For the conference, I suggest the hashtag #alavetelicon (though maybe
it's a bit long...?)

Thanks,

Seb

Maybe #foicon? Struggling to come up with an alternate just now.

Hi all!
         Thanks Seb!
Ups! I have already started using #AlveteliCon. I know it's probably too long but I thought it would be a great idea for people to remember the name of the software.

I still have time to change it!

What do you think?

Oh, let's just leave it as #alavetelicon -- if you've already started
using it, then maybe that means it's not too long :)
