Good morning!
I'm writing this email from my hammock. Sadly I'm not in the Caribbean but a wet wood outside London.
It might seem a shame to be emailing from the great outdoors, but if you've got emails to send (and we all share that curse), then you may as well send them from a hammock listening to birdsong and watching the dawn slowly fill the woods with a new day.

I'm asking for your help today.

I run a series of events called A Night of Adventure for a charity I support. We've raised £150,000 so far.
Our next one is the most ambitious yet: we have a venue that holds 900 people so I'm asking for your help to get us bums on seats. I don't know 900 people so I need to spread the net wider!
  1. If you live in London, please come along and bring some friends! It's on March 24th. All details here: http://goo.gl/ueedmX
  2. If you know anyone in London, please would you be so kind as to forward this on to them or put it on Facebook:
"This looks like a great event: 12 different adventurers speaking on one night at a Night Of Adventure in London on March 24th. All the proceeds go to Hope and Homes for Children. The adventures include skiing to the South Pole, paddling through the Congo, walking a lap of Wales with a donkey, motorbiking round the world, sailing round Britain, speedflying in Greenland, and the joys of sleeping on a hill. More details and ticket information here: http://goo.gl/ueedmX"

3. If you use Twitter, please would you Retweet this Tweethttps://twitter.com/Al_Humphreys/status/569793469721538561

If everyone who gets this email was able to recruit even a couple of people to go along we will get a full house and raise another £15,000 to help orphaned and abandoned children. Thank you.

In other news, if you are looking to live more adventurously this year, it's not to late to get going with Your Year of Microadventure. Details here.

Cheers
Alastair
