Good afternoon,
I hope you are well.
It's very important these days for authors to get a good 'spike' of pre-order sales on Amazon. It tricks the Amazon algorithms into thinking that you're actually important and worth them promoting more heavily online. This can make a huge difference to overall sales.
So if you can think of any young person who would enjoy a copy of the book, I'd be really grateful if you
ordered a copy or two today. The book is the final part in my trilogy of stories about a young boy, Tom, who sets out to try to cycle round the world. His adventures bear an uncanny similarity to my own experiences...
(Apologies to those in the US - the book is not released there until January. Don't ask me why!)
I'll also be speaking at these public events in the next couple of weeks:
If you are interested in travel and photography, my friend
Chris Herwig is in the UK this week to launch his new, very quirky, beautiful book about Soviet Bus Stops. He has
these two events in London.
Cheers!
Alastair
