I hope that you are enjoying the summer, and looking forward to the stunning Meteor Shower that you'll be able to see every night this week - a great excuse for a microadventure (or a late night drink in the garden).

I've been busy film-making over the past couple of months. (I'd love it if you took 5 seconds to subscribe to my YouTube channel so that you hear when I upload a new film. Just click the red 'Subscribe' button here.)

OTHER NEWS
  • Once a season this year I am spending a night out in the same woods. It’s a simple idea: a way to see how the world changes, to measure my own year and make plans, and to experience the outdoors in a variety of ways. Here's what happened in the spring and summer.
  • If you're anywhere near Aberdeen, I'll be speaking at the Torphin gala this Thursday evening
  • The simple expedition grant I've been helping a little with now has over 1000 applications! If you'd like to apply, or if you're able to donate a bit of cash to help someone with their first expedition, please click here.
  • If you're too busy to get out into the wild as much as you like, if you only get out "once in a blue moon", then hopefully this will encourage you to make your next trip happen sooner than that!
  • I'm really pleased that my kids' books have now overtaken Microadventures as my best-selling book. The third installment is out in September.
