I hope that you are enjoying the summer, and looking forward to the stunning Meteor Shower that you'll be able to see every night this week - a great excuse for a microadventure (or a late night drink in the garden).
I've been busy film-making over the past couple of months. (I'd love it if you took 5 seconds to subscribe to my YouTube channel so that you hear when I upload a new film. Just click the red 'Subscribe' button here.)
Paddleboarding through Durdle Door(3 minutes) NOTE: ending of film is very silly - I advise you check it out first before showing film to school classes!
Once a season this year I am spending a night out in the same woods. It’s a simple idea: a way to see how the world changes, to measure my own year and make plans, and to experience the outdoors in a variety of ways. Here's what happened in the spring and summer.
The simple expedition grant I've been helping a little with now has over 1000 applications! If you'd like to apply, or if you're able to donate a bit of cash to help someone with their first expedition, please click here.
If you're too busy to get out into the wild as much as you like, if you only get out "once in a blue moon", then hopefully this will encourage you to make your next trip happen sooner than that!
I'm really pleased that my kids' books have now overtaken Microadventures as my best-selling book. The third installment is out in September.
