Good afternoon world!
I've spent most of the last couple of months in my shed, finishing off writing a couple of books (one is my third children's book to finish this
series which is currently #1 on Amazon for children's biographies).
But I did escape for one of the best little adventures I have ever had, exploring the wild places and bothies of Scotland. I've put together
this 8-minute film from the trip, which I really hope you'll enjoy. It was also my first foray into flying a drone camera in wild, crashable places!
The
Year of Microadventure campaign is gathering momentum nicely. Now that spring is on the way, perhaps you might like to
get involved too? Here is a 3-minute video of a
Spring Microadventure, and also a more exotic
Spanish Microadventure. I gave a talk in Barcelona last month so enjoyed one night in a 5-star hotel (I wasn't paying) and one night sleeping under the stars on a hill (for free).
We had a full house of 930 people for the London 'Night of Adventure' in support of Hope and Homes for Children and raised over £20,000 on the night. Thank you very much to all who came along.
Forthcoming public talks:
- May 21 - London, Secret Compass
- May 23 - Innocent Unplugged festival
- May 29 - London, Royal Geographical Society
- June 13 - Perthshire Adventure Festival (my face is on the poster which made me laugh)
- June 19 - Moray, Scotland
- June 26 - Somewhere near London, with Ed Stafford and Ran Fiennes
I hope you enjoy my film:
