if our government started to comply with the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons: The $51.5 BILLION/YR our government spends on nuclear weapons could be instead spent on improving life instead of preparing to destroy it!

The Alaska Peace Center joins the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) promoting adherence to and implementation of the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

ICAN  is a coalition of non-governmental organizations in more than one hundred countries that was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its successful work getting the Treaty passed in 2017, ratified, and is continuing to work to get it implemented worldwide.
