If you happen to be free tomorrow at 10 a.m., please join me outside
Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert's office to show opposition to the
budget. Speaker Hastert is not concerned about protecting the Refuge,
so it would be good to have anti-drilling activists with signs in
attendance. Move On is sponsoring a whole host of these anti-budget
events, so go to moveon.org to see where the one closest to you will be
located. and let me know if you have any questions about whether a
Republican congressional member warrants a visible outcry by people
wanting to protect the Refuge, or whether they are in our camp on the
Arctic drilling fight!

Dear MoveOn member,
Thanks for signing up to attend a Speak Out to stop the "Reverse Robin
Hood" budget.

Republicans are already losing support for their plan. By shining a
spotlight on its local impacts, these events will make it even harder
for Congress to vote the wrong way.

But the key will be to have at least a few people there. Many MoveOn
members can't make it because most Speak Outs will happen during the
day. So please be sure to come tomorrow-and if at all possible, bring
a friend (or three). Ask them to sign up here so the event coordinator
knows how many people to expect:

Here are the details of the event you signed up to attend:

Speak Out Against Reverse Robin Hood Budget Cuts

Congress is feeling the heat from Americans, who oppose the
Republicans' reverse Robin Hood budget plan. In response to grassroots
pressure from MoveOn members and others, the Republican leadership has
had to postpone several votes. On Sunday, USA Today reported there are
signs that Republicans are rethinking their focus on tax breaks. If we
keep the heat on, we can swing the votes we need to force them to back
off on the cuts to critical services for the poor and middle class as
well.

Thanks again for helping out. Your attendance could make the
difference for protecting programs that people in your community need
to keep their families healthy, put food on the table, and build a
better future for their kids.

Sincerely,

-Ben, Tanya, Micayla, Jennifer and the MoveOn.org Political Action
Team
