5.1 upgrade issues

I am atempting to upgrade to 5.1, I have unzipped the S/W to a cd but
when I load the cd on the AlrmTraq server a window Installer box pops
up and says"The installation package could not be opened. Contact the
application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer
package" I currently have 5.0.477 loaded on the AlarmTraq.

Make sure you are logged on with administrator rights. You should
uninstall AlarmTraq 5.0 before installing 5.1. Make sure you backup the
AlarmTraq.mdb file to a safe location first.

You may want to try opening the CD and running the install.bat file to
start the installer.

Jim,
That I think is my problem, I can't open the CD, that Window Installer
box keeps
popping up. I have tried to open the CD on my laptop and I get the same
problem.
I tried reloading the S/W on the CD and that didn't make a difference.
Am I missing
something..?

1- The contents of the AlarmTraq.zip file should be unzipped to a
temporary directory on your computer (C:\temp).

2- This new temp directory should now contain the following files:

AlarmTraq.msi
install.bat
autorun.inf
Installation_Maintenance.pdf

3- Open this directory and double-click install.bat
