I have photoshop CS6 and I just upgraded my camera to a nikon D7500. I shoot in RAW so when i went to upload my pictures, it said it didn't support them with that camera. (I don't remember exactly how it was worded) anyway, it said i needed to update it. So i went to the update tab and it says " the update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily or the internet or firewall setting may be incorrect" I am no computer guru so I don't have the slightest idea what to do. I have some pictures I NEED to edit and I can't even open them so I'm freaking out.

I have just a few month old Nikon d7500 where the info display stopped working, even when I hit the button. Also, after I take a picture, no image appears to review. I did do a factory reset (I think, but with no info display, hard to say). I also checked my Image Review settings in the menu, so the LCD is not dead and I can see pics by pushing the play button. This camera has maybe taken 400 pics and was purchased new.

I have had several bodies and there has always been an option to turn off (or on) the display image after shooting...one of the first things I do is turn it off...I will go back to it with the play button if I want to review...

I have never had to send gear in under warranty, but you shouldn't have an issue unless you have damaged the body yourself. I have had excellent and fast results when getting a couple of bodies repaired due to a recall by Nikon.

I'm having the exact same problem with my Nikon D5600. The info button doesn't work and image preview does not pop up. Oddly enough, it seems to work if the memory card is removed. I've tried changing memory cards, changing lenses, resetting the camera by holding the "info" and "menu" buttons together, restoring factory settings, and even updated the firmware (from 1.0 to 1.2). No luck. Any ideas anyone?

I have an update on this problem. I've just discovered the cause of mine, it was the rubber eye cup that I'd taken off my D3100 (and which fitted perfectly). It was partially blocking the eye sensor above the viewfinder and making the camera think my eye was always at the viewfinder which then turned off the screen. I removed it and the problem disappeared.

I did end up sending my D7500 in for repairs, the issue, whatever it was, was covered under warranty. They didn't say what they repaired, but did send a note with instructions on how to prevent my display screen from overheating. I'm assuming that is what happened, but I never have my camera turned on for that long really. Basically, they said to pop the viewing screen out when the camera is turned on. Hope this helps someone out down the line.

Thanks Tony! I picked up my D5600 this morning with this same problem. I do have the proper eye cup for the D5600 but it has been slightly re-positioned so that that it blocked the eye sensor. Thanks to your post the problem is gone. Thanks again and much appreciated!

I was having the same problem with my relatively new D7500....none of the buttons on the back, left of the camera were working. I took of the rubber eye cup, as mentioned above, and they all work! Wow!!

I have just bought a Nikon d7500 but cannot view any pictures taken in raw. I have downloaded the latest raw update for Mac but both Affinity photo and Photoshop Elements 13 show the files as read only. Anyone any ideas. Lance

I've been opening images from view nx which is Nikon's own photo viewer app. I've been using affinity photo for some time now and had no problems using my d7500. I have recently upgraded my camera to a d850 full frame (45megapixel) which produces much larger raw files (45-80mb), but have also been successfully editing photos for the last 2 weeks that I've had the camera until tonight when mid-processing a photo, it completely crashed. I have followed other advice and uninstalled/reinstalled the affinity app. I have used ^(ctrl) to reset all of the app's data to their default settings. The program will open ok, but as soon as I try to open a photo in order to edit it (from anywhere) the app simply crashes. It completely locks my MacBook and then shuts it down. If I'm lucky, it will restart on it's own. When this happens I can't even close the app, it simply freezes everything and forces the computer to shut down. All my other apps appear to be working fine and I can view photos using any number of programs, so I don't think it is a graphics issue. I have 32mb of ram which is the most this computer can have, so it's not a memory issue either. Also, these aren't corrupt files (read only) they're just normal raw files.
