I have had to reinstall chief 10 on another computer and am unable to get a driver for the Hasp 2.17 dongle and therefore can't use the program. Is there a new dongle? Please help! I'm using win 10 pro. All of the video's run just fine.
I am not able to get the program to recognize my HASP/USB dongle after installing the software drivers from the link to Thales support website above. I have read the support page from CA above as well. I will try asking CA support direct to see if they can help me ?
I use a HASP key for unlocking software for a specific software I use for work. But less than a month ago there was a Windows 10 update that made the HASP key stop working. It also doesn't work on my new Windows 11 laptop. The company who makes the keys supposedly has an update driver but that doesn't work either and the software company doesn't know of any fix yet and it is critical for it to work as it is for Fire Life Safety.

We have discovered that the HASP dongle for Win10/11 , can't use the latest Sentinel Drivers . Uninstall the current drivers and install Version 8.11 from May 2020

Already Tried this and it did not work. The software program I use that requires the HASP key still does not recognize the HASP key. I think it may be a software updated needed with their drivers but I have not received any answers.

I tried everything I could think of, even uninstalled everything including Windows. Reinstalled last night and Fashion Toolbox worked fine, until I shut down. Even shut down in Snap Shot mode. Can't seem to get either VMware Fusion or Windows to recognize the Hasp Key in the USB port and not sure where the root of the problem is from. However, in VMware pull down, under Virtual Machine Settings, the 2.17 Alladin Hasp Key is shown. I ran a Hasp Key Diagnostic tool today in Windows and says that a "Hasp Key HL can not be found".
I've read this thread and some of the others regarding Aladdin Knowledge HASP problems. I installed VM Fusion 2.0.1 on an Intel Xeon Quad Mac in trial mode and it works great except that it won't recognize the Aladdin dongle (HASP 2.17) for a piece of software I use often. The dongle appears in the list of unconnected USB devices in the VM (Windows XP SP3) , but when I choose to connect it to the VM either in the Settings dialog or from the Windows Task Bar, the dongle LED blinks but doesn't connect.
1. Shut down Visionscape Backplane. 2. Move USB license key to different port. After connection should see the end of the key light up . 3. If key doesn't light up, try Downloading the latest HASP HL drivers from: _HASP/Runtime_%28Drivers%29/Sentinel_HASP_Run-time_setup.zip Reinstall these drivers on your PC. 4. Start the Visionscape Backplane at the local PC. Note *The GigE license is NOT detected if the user is logged into the PC via a Remote PC.
Reference the ReadMe.wri file for the Visionscape 4.0 release where it states that LogicTech Setpoint program is known to make Visionscape 4.0.0 software inoperable. Please uninstall the LogicTech Setpoint software prior to installing Visionscape 4.0.0." Similar problems have been reported with other mouse drivers as well. Work-around: Uninstall mouse driver software before installing Visionscape.
A problem has been detected in Windows 10 version 2004 (May 2020 update) when the current HASP driver version on the computer is 7.100 or older. Windows 10 version 2004 might fail to install or might fail to start after updating. The problem also affects Windows Server version 2004.
If you reinstall the program using an older installation package after updating your operating system, do not install the old HASP driver included in the installation package, but install version 7.103 separately as described above.

To display SL UserMode keys in Admin Control Station, License Manager runs an additional process (hasplmv) on the machine. If you are willing to accept that SL UserMode keys will not be displayed, you have the option to prevent hasplmv from executing by clearing the relevant check box on the Configuration page in Admin Control Center.
