Below is the text Lisa is using to contact people about the July 21 APC tour.  Please email or phone at least five people you think would want to join our July 21 community outreach tour of APC.  Of course you can use some or all of the text below, or you can create your own message of interest to your invitees.

You’ll soon be receiving additional information about specifics of the tour as they relate to your role.

Join us for a walking tour of Alameda Point Collaborative to learn how we help families thrive. APC is a unique supportive housing community located on the site of the former Naval Air Station Alameda. APC gives its 500 formerly homeless residents, including nearly 300 children and youth, a safe and affordable place to call home. We believe that with the right resources every APC resident can reach his or her best potential.

The tour starts and ends at the APC Farm2Market farm, 2600 Barbers Point Road. The tour will begin promptly at 5:30; please feel free to arrive a few minutes early to check-in! The walking portion of the tour will take approximately 45 minutes with stops at our Education Center, Teen Center, and behind-the-scenes tours of Ploughshares Nursery and the APC Farm2Market farm.

This is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather! We also suggest wearing comfortable shoes for walking.

Light refreshments included!

Space is limited, RSVP today.
