1. How did you find out about the tour?
· Neighbor
· Newsletter (e-blast)
· Through church group
2. What was one or two of the best parts of the tour for you?
· Teen Center; specifically hearing from the teens (almost everyone mentioned this)
· Learning more about APC community
o How the community was created
o Basic overview of mission and services provided
· Nursery
· Understanding more about how APC works with residents
· Stories that Doug told about client success
3. What can we do better on our next community tour?
· Nothing! (several people)
· Smaller groups; people in back couldn’t hear what Doug was saying
· One person felt that the tour went long, but two others noted that it was on-time
· Less time at Education Center
· Less time spent standing – as opposed to walking – felt that there should be seating offered during idle time (did not say where specifically)
· Breakdown of where residents move to, what jobs/careers they were able to attain
4. Are there specific ways you might want to connect with the APC staff and residents in the future?
· Board member
· Ongoing volunteer in children’s program
· Joining CSA
· One-day project with church group
· Shopping at Ploughshares
· Connecting people to resources
“I would have been happy to plan to visit longer…”
“I think this sort of small scale individual full-on approach is the [most likely way] to be successful”
“I wanted to share how impressed I was with Doug’s commentary”
“…especially impressive to see and hear from the teens, especially the young woman who spoke.”
Other feedback:
· Comment on painting that needs to be done on exterior of buildings
· Education/Teen Centers seem small (physically)
· Questions about in-kind donations/although unclear what the question was

Can you please email out to us board members the compiled comments and other feedback from our previous community outreach tour of APC? Those could be helpful for us to see before this Wednesday's tour.
by the way, today I spoke with two different people who both said they're interested in attending--and one of them lives in Oakland!
