Alak rapes Junkyard Wars and Wins TechSoc

We finally did it.

This has been coming even before i was here. The seeds were sown by Srishti.Srinath and Tanay picked up from where he left off. The culture has been grown and it has finally led us here.

Coming to this year, A lot of people have put in a lot of effort all throughout the year. The freshies gave us a good start in the freshie events. We had some bad luck in Manual Robotics. Victory in the Auto Quiz gave us the impetus which was followed by massive enthusiasm at Ultimate Engineer and Reverse Coding, which was followed by a near miss of the podium at Gamer's INN. This was when we lost the lead. We immediately got it back with brilliant performances by our residents at Shaastra. A very disappointing Aerobotics was followed by us extending our lead at DesMod, OPC and TechSoc Main Quiz. We had looked to seal our victory at HTW but it turned out to be an anti climax with Mandak closing the gap on us. With fox hunt scrapped, it all came down to Junkyard Wars. The Problem statement was chopped and changed multiple time much to our ire. But when it came down to it, and after a frustrating day 2 where we were left hoping and praying that Mandak cups, Four generations of TASes came together on the last day and made a machine which was so perfect that it ended up raping the competition and here we now stand on Top of the TechSoc Table.

I would like to use this opportunity to Thank everyone for their support. This victory is for each and every one of You!

With plenty of hope and optimism, I look forward to the hostel continuing this culture and winning more trophies in the years to come.
