Mitr presents an open discussion on
"Freedom of Expression"
Venue: MRC, Level 4, Central Library
Date: Monday, 18th March, 2013
Time: 6:00 p.m.
There is a plethora of forms of expression. We encounter with verbal and non-verbal forms of expressions. The expression of dissent has led the state invoke laws curbing fundamental rights. When it comes to non-verbal, art forms like paintings have been used as a strong medium of expressing artist's concerns for a particular cause. Some artists have found their freedom being constrained in some particular contexts, like M. F. Husain. In our day to day lives, problems regarding modesty is a prime example of the question to what extent we can express ourselves in terms of fashion.
Come and engage in an interactive and thought provoking discussion by a panel consisting of students and faculty!
